About WMF
The GP practices in Wells Street and Glastonbury have come together to work collaboratively in commissioning health services for the population in the West Mendip area. The member practices are Wells Health Centre, Wells City Practice, the two Vine Surgery practices, Glastonbury Surgery and Glastonbury Health Centre. Our role is to provide a “ground eye” view of what health services are needed, soundly based on local knowledge and objective Public Health data. The Federation is part of a larger network of other, similar federations in Somerset, which form the Somerset Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG). The role of the CCG is to coordinate and balance the needs of the different Federation areas in Somerset, and to manage centrally issues which are common to them all. Our aim is to work collaboratively and positively with all groups involved in shaping and delivering healthcare within both the locality and Somerset.

“No decision about me without me….”
We welcome the views of any individual or group in the area who has a view about how health services are currently delivered, as well as feedback on both proposed changes to existing service or potential new services.
